WE”RE SIBLINGS! NOT A COUPLE! lol
ya dood..awkward. should have bought him a different sex pot shirt.. .__.
I’m in the Philippines and internet is pretty sucky here! I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything interesting, but I will soon! SORRYY!
I flew here since my whole family decided to visit for my grandpa’s funeral..sadly, I missed it due to the clash of schedule with my final exams..
It was my first international flight by myself and it was rather interesting. The morning I got to the San Antonio International Airport, I was shocked to find a mice scurrying right by me! It was surprising to have spotted a vermin right before I even got anywhere the Philippines! Anyway, it was a long ride.. first 4 hours from TX to JFK airport in NY. From NY, we flew another 16 hours to Narita, Japan. That ride was ungodly slow; I didn’t have a watch nor a phone to check on the time, so I tried to sleep through it and be patient as best I can. To make it worse, the video and music entertainment system on the plane had a glitch.. no movies, music-nothing for the 16 hours ride! After the stopover in Narita, Japan, it was another 2-3 hours to the Philippines. I was already worn out by then..but I knew the worst was to come. Baggage claim and finding my ride. In the Philippines. By myself. My little self.
As I expected, the baggage claim was full of travelers rushing to get their luggage and I had two unnecessarily large, heavy check-ins that I had to collect. The room was thick in everyone’s body heat and my face was pouring with sweat that my glasses kept drooping. I had to constantly lift it to the bridge of my nose, pausing and causing traffic in the sea of travelers due to my blindness. Sad.
Once I got all of my belongings, leaving the air conditioned building was hell..though you honestly couldn’t feel the AC doing its job. As if the populated room wasn’t bad enough with the heat, going outside immediately drowned me in the immense thickness of the humidity and the stench of sewage and sweaty individuals didn’t help. Fortunately, I met a Londoner, Genesis, to help me out. Thank God. My phone was dead, and I needed my relatives’ numbers; I ran back to the building and begged the security guard to let me in to the nearest outlet to obtain the numbers. Rushing back, he called using the pay phone twice to contact my cousins. He never left til my ride arrived! SUCH GOOD PEOPLE EXIST! OTL
Since then, it’s been hectic with the family and the heat/humidity here is unbearable(again)! The moment you turn off the shower, you feel the damp, hot, humid air immediately drying you. I’ve even got tanner, guh. And since my grandparents’ home is pretty old, there’s often cockroaches flying and crawling around and you see the occasional rodents. Mosquitos are always buzzing around blood-thirsty…and somehow, I’m always their main source for blood. I have about 8 bites total, and perhaps 12 ant bites.
I wanted to get pictures during my travel, but my phone was crap and I didn’t have a camera, but I will get stuff posted soon! SORRY FOR MY LONG ABSENCE!
I’m a college student with work study… lol, but I’m doing a part time job this summer as a dental assistant!
